Here's What Happens When Women Work TogetherDec 21, 2022
I've always known that I didn't fit in a traditional work environment. I wanted to keep my schedule, set my priorities, and frankly, I'd rather not have a boss. But, going it alone as an entrepreneur is tough. My creative juices and internal motivation could only take me so far. It wasn't until we formed the Success Your Way team that I realized what my freelance life had been missing. Collaboration.
It's taken years of self-employment for me to experience the support of other talented and creative women and how it makes my work better. Our culture has taught us that there's only room for one woman in every boardroom and that we have to fight for a limited amount of female power. But what's true is that female collaboration is one of the most powerful forces I've ever experienced. We accomplish great things when the ladies of Success Your Way come together around a conference table. We carry all the strength and power of business leaders and all the warmth, intuition, and kindness of mothers, sisters, and friends.
When I first sat down to write this article, I wanted to share that collaboration is the key to professional success because it divvies tasks and responsibilities to the people with the appropriate skills. That's the obvious truth. But the more I think on the subject, I realize that collaborating with other women in business has made me feel more seen, celebrated, and supported than ever before in my professional life.
The business world has historically been a man's world. We love seeing that dynamic changing around us, and we're proud to be part of that change. The leaders of Success Your Way are now and probably always will be only women. Who knows, maybe one day we'll hire a man; we love men, and several of us are married to them. But, we are convinced that female business relationships are transformational, and we've made it our mission to create space to help those collaborations thrive.
One of the elements of Success Your Way that we're most excited about is the community we're building through our social media platforms. Click here to visit our Facebook page, or contact us here to join our private Facebook community group. When women come together to solve problems, beautiful things are born.
If you're feeling stuck, unmotivated, unsupported, or uninspired, you might need to find some partners to help you share the load. Whether you're working together or just meeting for coffee once a month to dream and problem-solve, collaboration with other women is a game changer.
